Getting married is the highest expression of love between two people.
Getting Married
You may have your wedding ceremony at any time and in any place in Australia. You also may have any content that you wish, any inclusions that suit you, your relationship, your hopes, your dreams and your cultural or spiritual traditions.
There are some legal processes that must be attended to, so Lisa will help you comply with your legal obligations, while designing a beautiful ceremony for you.
Before the Marriage Ceremony
You must complete a Notice of Intended Marriage. This form must be completed and lodged with your celebrant at least one month before the wedding. You will also need original birth certificates and evidence of termination of a previous marriage, such as a divorce certificate or a death certificate.
If you were born overseas and have an overseas passport, you may use this as evidence of date and place of birth. Please note that Australian passports cannot be used in place of birth certificates.
